How it works
The shims set end clearance more precisely, which helps keep proper lube and reduces wear. A ball and spring setup replaces the problem converter relief valves in the valve body.
New Vinton check balls go in the pump body, where the balls take the hardest wear. A case-hardened steel boost valve and sleeve with an o-ring seal replaces the OE valve and sleeve, which wear and cause loss of boost pressure.
The kit addresses delayed shifts, flare on the 3-2 downshift, inadequate lube oil, converter chatter, soft or sloppy upshifts, downshift bump and pressure rise problems.
