What the kit does
Shims are supplied to fine tune end clearance, which helps maintain proper lube and reduce wear in AXOD series units.
The problem converter relief valves in the valve body are replaced with a more efficient ball and spring setup. All accumulator springs are replaced, since the stock springs are often found broken due to high pressure.
Addresses late shifts, 2-3 flare, soft sloppy 1-2 shifts, downshift bump, inadequate lube oil, converter chatter, 2nd gear starts and spin up on 3-2 kickdown.
