Remanufactured 68RFE transmission pump, rebuilt in-house through a multi-stage process and vacuum tested before and after repair. It arrives fully assembled, aligned and torqued, ready to install with no additional assembly or pump alignment.

How each pump is remanufactured
Every incoming pump is completely disassembled and inspected. Before cleaning or machining, the valve circuits are vacuum tested to find worn valve bores and decide which areas need repair. The pump is then cleaned in an ultrasonic system to remove fluid residue, varnish and debris.
Valve bores that fail the first vacuum test are precision reamed and polished and fitted with the matching Sonnax repair components: 44912-03K, 44912-12K, 44912-18K, 44912-08K or 44912-10K. Only the bores that need repair are reamed.
After machining, the parts are cleaned ultrasonically again, then the pump is reassembled and vacuum tested a second time. The pump gears are inspected and replaced when worn, using 72530B-04K and 72530B-02. Every pump gets new sealing rings and a new filter seal.
For transit, the pump is sealed in a bag, boxed and surrounded with custom-fitting Instapak expanding foam to prevent movement and impact damage.

Notes
Before cleaning or machining, the valve circuits are vacuum tested to identify worn valve bores and determine exactly which areas require repair.
Only the bores that require repair are reamed and fitted with the corresponding updated valves.
The pump is then carefully reassembled and vacuum tested a second time to confirm that the repaired valve circuits meet our standards.
No additional assembly or pump alignment is required.

Core Charge
Core charge: $500, already included in the price. The price of this pump includes a $500 refundable core charge. When your new pump arrives, send your old one back with the prepaid return label we provide (for returns from within the USA), and we will refund the $500 once the core is received and checked.
- Ship the core back within 30 days of delivery for the full refund. Cores shipped 31 to 90 days after delivery get 70% of the core charge back. After 90 days, the core charge is not refunded.
- Outside the USA? The prepaid label only works for returns from within the USA. You can still ship the core back at your own cost to receive the refund.
- The core must be the same type as the pump you bought, complete, and not cracked or taken apart.
- Drain the fluid, pack it securely, and put your order number in the box.
- We refund the core charge to your original payment method within 5 business days of receiving it.
