Remanufactured 68RFE Transmission Pump — Vacuum Tested & Ready to Install
This 68RFE transmission pump is professionally remanufactured in-house through a detailed, multi-stage process. Each pump is individually inspected, tested, machined as needed, and carefully assembled to ensure it meets our performance standards before shipment.
Our Remanufacturing Process
Every incoming pump is completely disassembled and stripped down for inspection. Before cleaning or machining, the valve circuits are vacuum tested to identify worn valve bores and determine exactly which areas require repair.
The disassembled pump is then thoroughly cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaning system to remove transmission fluid residue, varnish, and debris. Any valve bores that fail the initial vacuum test are precision reamed and polished to restore the proper bore finish and prepare them for upgraded Sonnax valves.
Depending on which circuits fail testing, we install the appropriate Sonnax repair components:
Only the bores that require repair are reamed and fitted with the corresponding updated valves.
After machining and polishing, all components are cleaned again in the ultrasonic system to remove any remaining machining debris. The pump is then carefully reassembled and vacuum tested a second time to confirm that the repaired valve circuits meet our standards.

Every pump receives new sealing rings and a new filter seal. Once final testing is complete, the pump is fully assembled, properly aligned, and torqued to specification.
Ready to Install
Your pump arrives fully assembled and ready to install right out of the box. No additional assembly or pump alignment is required.
To protect the pump during transit, it is sealed in a bag, securely boxed, and surrounded with expanding Instapak foam packaging. This custom-fitting foam helps prevent movement and protects the pump from impact damage during shipping.

The listed price includes a $500 core charge. A return shipping label is provided with each pump to make it easier to return your core.
