Sonnax oversized TCC switch valve kit for Chrysler 45RFE, 545RFE, 65RFE, 66RFE and 68RFE transmissions. After the worn switch valve bore is reconditioned, kit 44912-08K restores the clearances the TCC circuit needs for normal apply and release.

Why it fails

Vehicles with these transmissions often come in with TCC trouble: trouble codes with TCC slip, no lockup, overheating and lost fuel economy. In some cases the TCC cannot release, which causes improper lockup and engine stall.

These problems are often caused by wear in the TCC switch valve bore, which lets control pressure escape the circuit. The kit's hardcoat anodized aluminum valve resists wear, and its lengthened critical spool adds stability.
