Watch Dog inline monitor/filter with a built-in drain back valve, for transmission cooler lines. It installs on 5/16 in or 3/8 in lines, makes it easy to check for contaminants circulating in the transmission fluid, and its no-stick drain back valve is for units that show converter drain back problems.

How it works
It has a filter and a bypass system. If a clog develops, the internal filter comes off its seat so cooler flow continues.
Install it after every rebuild. When the unit comes back for a follow-up inspection, unscrew the housing and look inside: excessive converter clutch lining material can be a sure sign of converter or lockup problems. In racing, regular inspections give a good indication of the unit's condition and help avoid a major failure in the next race.
