Why it is needed
At the start of production for the 2015 model year, General Motors upgraded the 6T40 series to GEN3, with an off-axis chain driven pump that has a lube boost valve. That valve is very active and wears its bore at extremely low mileage (up to .060”).
To salvage the pump, TransGo uses an oversize hardened steel valve and spring combination that minimizes the valve oscillation responsible for the bore wear.
How to use: pick the guide that fits your casting the tightest without forcing it. Use WD-40® and low speed on a portable drill, and let the carbide reamer do the cutting until it bottoms in the bore.
