The lube boost valve in Ford 8F24 and 8F35 transmissions controls how much pressure goes to the cooler and lube circuit of the valve body. The bore experiences heavy wear from multiple inputs, leading to hydraulic leakage that causes low pressures and overheating.
Installing Sonnax lube boost valve kit 145740-02K corrects circuit pressures and restores normal pressure. This drop-in, sleeve/valve assembly provides a new and unworn bore for hydraulic sealing of the valve while the sleeve seals off existing moderate bore wear to prevent fluid loss.
