Build your own NP242 rebuild kit: choose the parts that match the transmission on your bench and leave out what you don't need. This builder has 6 option groups and 9 choices, all optional, so the kit holds only what you pick.
What you can choose
- Choose Your Overhaul Kit: BK242 1987-1993 early case - WIDE 24mm input bearing, bearings + gaskets & seals; BK242B 1994-2001 - NARROW 16mm input bearing, bearings + gaskets & seals (most common)
- Add Drive chain: HV-028 Drive chain 1.0in wide x 36 links (NP242, Morse HV-028)
- Add Oil pump: 351500 Oil pump assembly, 38-spline (NP231/241/242/243 style)
- Add Range fork & range hub: 352849A Range fork, aluminum (cast C-17833); 361645A Range hub / slider (NP242/249)
- Add Rear output shaft bearing: 351268A Rear output shaft bearing 35x72x17mm
- Add Small parts: 411215 Planetary thrust washer, 2-tab; 401330 Indicator switch O-ring
