Build your own NP231 rebuild kit: choose the parts that match the transmission on your bench and leave out what you don't need. This builder has 10 option groups and 14 choices, all optional, so the kit holds only what you pick.
What you can choose
- Choose Your Overhaul Kit: BK231A Master bearing & seal kit - NARROW 16mm input bearing (6010-N): Ram 1500 1994-2001, Dakota 1994-2000, Durango 1998-2003, Chevy/GMC S10/S15/Blazer/Jimmy 4.3L 1995-1997 - measure bearing; BK231 Master bearing & seal kit - WIDE 24mm input bearing (BD50-8): GM S-series 1988-1994, Dakota 1988-2000, Ram 1500 1994-2001 - measure bearing (Dodge 94-01 can be either); TSK231 Reseal only: gasket & seal kit - 1987+ GM & Dodge (no bearings)
- Add Drive chain: HV-022 Drive chain 1.25in wide x 31 links (wide-chain NP231 - only if your old chain measures 1-1/4in)
- Add Oil pump / pump rub repair: 351500 Oil pump, 38-spline (NP231/233/241/242/243)
- Add Mode synchro: 351701K Mode synchro assembly 48T with springs & keys (GM; Dodge units with 48T mode synchro); 351701 Mode synchro blocker ring (48T)

- Add Planetary: 411215 Planetary thrust washer (2 tabs)
