Build your own AX5 rebuild kit: choose the parts that match the transmission on your bench and leave out what you don't need. This builder has 7 option groups and 12 choices, all optional, so the kit holds only what you pick.
What you can choose
- Choose Your Overhaul Kit: BK161LAWS Master rebuild kit: bearings + seals + gaskets + brass synchro rings (late 1987-2002, snap-ring countershaft, 23mm input bearing); BK161LA Bearing, seal & gasket kit only - no synchro rings (late 1987-2002, snap-ring countershaft)
- Add Synchro rings: 372703 3rd/4th/5th gear synchro ring (each - most rebuilds need 3)
- Add Synchro sliders, hubs & keys: 372641 1-2 slider sleeve (with reverse gear teeth); 372644 5th gear slider sleeve; 372703-2K Synchro key & spring kit - alternate to 372703-4
- Add Shift forks & shifter: 372642K 3-4 shift fork kit, updated aluminum fork with slider; 372330 Shifter stick end bushing (fixes sloppy shifter)
- Add 5th gear repair: 317585K 5th gear set: 24T mainshaft gear + 47T countershaft gear (count your countershaft 5th gear teeth first - 45T sets also exist)
- Add Gears & shafts: 372670B Input shaft, thick (23mm) bearing type; 372674A Countershaft/cluster gear, snap-ring type (45-31-20-13-14 teeth)
- Add Small parts: 372001 Small parts kit (snap rings, keys, springs)
