Build your own NV3500 rebuild kit: choose the parts that match the transmission on your bench and leave out what you don't need. This builder has 7 option groups and 21 choices, all optional, so the kit holds only what you pick.
What you can choose
- Choose Your Overhaul Kit: BK235E Bearing & seal kit only (no synchro rings) - 33mm countershaft
- Add Synchro ring kit: SRK235F Synchro ring kit, 3-piece 1-2 style - NOT for units with 1-piece 1-2 rings (BK235CWS/BK235C units)
- Add 33mm countershaft bearing: 404260 Front or rear countershaft bearing, 33mm OD
- Add Synchro assemblies & hubs: 404703K 3rd-4th synchro assembly (hub, sleeve, keys) - fixes grinding into 3rd/4th; 404701-3 1st-2nd synchro middle cone (multi-piece ring, each); 404701A Bronze synchro ring 1st-5th (each); 302703-2K Synchro key & spring kit (keys, springs, balls - set of 3); 404643 1st-2nd slider sleeve, 42 inner teeth (bevel toward 1st)
- Add Shift forks & shifter: 404841B 1st-2nd shift fork, 1.950in steel lug; 404842 3rd-4th shift fork; 404843A 5th-Reverse shift fork (NV3500 / NV3550 / GM M50); 404843 5th-Reverse shift fork (NV3500 / GM MG5 - not NV3550 or M50); 404837-1 Fork pivot ball (GM M50/MG5)
- Add Bearings, seals & retainer: 404220A Input or output shaft ball bearing, 80x35x23mm with snap ring; 334240 Input shaft pilot needle bearing; ATNV3500-6A Front bearing retainer (input), 2000-2004 NV3500/NV3550 only - replace if seal bore or sleeve is grooved; 404070A Front (input) seal; 404074 Rear output seal, 65mm OD cone type; 404074A Rear output seal, 90mm OD rubber coated; 404074B Rear output seal, 54mm OD (GM M50 only)
- Add Small parts: 404001A Small parts kit (snap rings, springs, dowels, counter plug) - already included in master kits; for bearing-only rebuilds
