Direct clutch PowerPack for Ford C6, E4OD and 4R100 transmissions, 1966-2004, made in the USA by Alto Products Corp. A performance upgrade for stock, heavy-duty and race applications that adds friction plate capacity to the direct clutch.

What it fixes
The added capacity corrects and prevents 2-3 long slide with tail bump, 2-3 slide-bang at 3/4 throttle, slide-bump reverse engagements, 2-3 slip or slide in performance vehicles, and early clutch burn-up from too little capacity for the vehicle. It also increases torque holding. Pre-soak friction elements for at least 15-20 minutes in the manufacturer's recommended ATF.
Stack-up by drum: E4OD/4R100 with the original four-plate drum takes seven (7) frictions and seven (7) steels; the original five-plate drum takes eight (8) and eight (8). C-6 with the original three-plate drum takes five (5) and five (5); the original four-plate drum takes seven (7) and seven (7). Each is installed in the conventional manner, then the furnished top pressure plate and snap ring.
A .090” steel plate is furnished. The recommended clutch clearance is .020” - .025”; reaching it may take replacing one (1) .059” steel and/or installing the original top snap ring.
