Installation
Install the intermediate pressure plate into the case. Alternate the friction and steel plates, ending with a Kolene® plate. Continue with the normal installation of the center support and intermediate/overdrive cylinder.
Clutch pack clearance is checked with a dial indicator and tool #T89T70010-F/T89T-70010-C-77000-AH-2 or equivalent, and should be .026” to .054”. In some applications .040” may need to be removed from the intermediate apply piston for proper clearance.

Notes
NOTE: The 2001 4R100 with the 60-tooth splined diode one-way clutch will have to be retro-fitted with the 50-tooth splined one-way clutch (Alto #26724A, not included in kit) and supporting components.
