Installation
The front clutch stacks up the same as OE, with added plates. Use a combination of the 0.068 in and 0.085 in steel plates to get the correct clearance. The A518 takes 5 or 6 frictions and 5 or 6 steels, and the A618 takes 6 or 7 frictions and steels. With the pressure plate supplied in this kit you can run the higher number of plates; with the OE pressure plate, the lower number.
After assembling the drum, apply the clutch pack several times with air to seat all components. Check clearance with a feeler gauge between the wave snap ring and the pressure plate. Clearance should be 0.070 in to 0.129 in (1.78 mm to 3.28 mm).
