TransGo 6T40-G3 SHIFT KIT valve body repair kit (SK6T40-G3) for GM vehicles with GEN3 series 6T31, 6T41, 6T46 and 6T51 automatic transmissions. It addresses the most common low mileage failure on these units with three drop-in valves and two oversize valves.

How it works
At the start of production for the 2015 model year, the 6T40 series moved to GEN3 with an off-axis chain driven pump that has a lube boost valve. This valve is very active and wears its bore quickly, up to .060" at low mileage.
To salvage the pump, TransGo uses an oversize hardened steel valve and spring combination that minimizes the valve oscillation behind the bore wear. The lube boost tool kit 6T40G3-LB-TKC is a one-time purchase: its two guides cover all 6T40 GEN3 series pumps, and its dual-piloted carbide reamer machines quickly and precisely and outlasts high speed steel.
The actuator feed limit valve uses AFL-G2-TK, the same universal tool kit used with TransGo's GM and Ford 6-SPD FWD GEN2 kits.
Corrects, prevents or reduces: ratio or solenoid performance codes, erratic TCC apply or TCC hunting, and overheating.
