TransGo SKA6MF (A6MF SHIFT KIT® Valve Body Repair Kit) for 2009 and newer Hyundai and Kia vehicles with the A6MF1/2, A6GF1 or A6LF1/2/3, and 2013-2016 Jeep and 2012-2016 Dodge vehicles with the 6F24 transmission. It fixes a brutal 6-4 kickdown bang, erratic shifting, flares or neutrals on shifts, TCC shudder or slip, and related codes.

Why it fails

This transmission uses two reducing valves that often wear their bores severely. The first reducing valve regulates pressure to the two ON/OFF solenoids and the OD, 2-6, 3-5-R and UD pressure switch valves. The second regulates pressure to the six PWM solenoids.

The reducing valves limit the pressure going to the solenoids. Their springs are calibrated so solenoid feed pressure never exceeds a set PSI, whatever main line pressure is, so the solenoids are not fed more fluid than they can regulate. If feed pressure is too high or too low, solenoid output follows, causing shift quality complaints, codes, and low or high main line pressure.

Wear of the TCC control valve bushing is the other issue. It costs TCC apply pressure, and the computer can no longer control lock-up apply rate properly.

The kit's two oversized USA-made steel reducing valves restore hydraulic circuit integrity. They install in bores reamed oversize with the TransGo A4A6-RV-TK tool kit, a reusable USA-made steel reamer and heat-treated guide that needs no holding fixture.

Corrects, prevents or reduces: codes P0731, P0732, P0733, P0734, P0735 and P0741, brutal 6-4 kickdown bang, erratic shifting, flares or neutrals on shifts, TCC shudder, TCC slip and delayed engagements.
