TransGo 4L80E-3 Reprogramming Kit with manual shift control for 1991-2013 GM vehicles with 4L80E and 4L85E transmissions and gas engines. It gives full manual control of upshifts and downshifts, 1st through 4th gear, with no automatic shift functions, for off-road vehicles without TCM control.

How it works
Common complaints on this transmission are no upshifts, soft 2-3 shift, burnt direct frictions, broken hard parts, and gear ratio and solenoid performance codes. A worn boost valve assembly causes either low boost pressure (soft 2-3 shift, direct clutch failure, codes) or runaway boost pressure, which can break the case, direct drum and piston.
The internal vacuum modulator setup provides an aggressive line pressure curve and regulation without a TCM, and the valve body, pump and internal components are calibrated to match it. The laminated triple separator plate dual-feeds the 3rd gear clutch without dismantling the transmission, tripling its torque capacity. The wide land boost valve and bushing resist wear, and the EPC boost pressure relief valve system protects against runaway boost pressure.
The kit has no provisions for torque converter clutch operation. To run a TCC, wire it to a toggle switch (parts and instructions not supplied). For a converter with no clutch, #48-CCV is advised for maximum coupling and cooling.

Notes
It is designed for the off-road driver only and for vehicles that do not have any TCM controls.
