TransGo converter flow correction kit (48-CCV) for 1991 to 2013 GM vehicles with the 4L80E and 4L85E. It is a drop-in kit for running a torque converter without a lockup clutch, for high performance or transplanted vehicles used off-road or at the strip.

How it works
Without internal changes at the oil pump, a non-lockup converter can lose coupling (slip) and build excessive heat because it does not stay fully charged with fluid under heavy load and high RPM. This kit redirects converter flow to the primary pump area so the converter stays fully charged under high load and RPM. It is compatible with TransGo's other 4L80E series products.
Running a non-lockup converter in an overdriven ratio raises transmission operating temperature and can cause overheating, so adding a cooler is recommended. On vehicles still using the OE computer, a reflash for non-lockup use keeps the TCM from setting a lockup performance or slip code such as P0741.
