TransGo 4L80E-TCC upgraded torque converter clutch (TCC) regulator valve for 1991 to 2013 General Motors vehicles with the 4L80E or 4L85E automatic transmission. It restores TCC apply pressure when the TCC regulator valve bore in the valve body is worn, without machining the bore.

How it works
The TCC regulator valve regulates torque converter clutch apply pressure. The computer varies the pulse width modulation of the TCC PWM solenoid to control lock-up apply. The constant PWM oscillation wears the bore over time, and the computer loses the ability to control lock-up apply rate and slip rate because TCC apply pressure is lost.
This drop-in, precision ground, USA-made hardened steel valve has re-positioned longer lands, so both ends of the valve have better support and wear less. A machined groove carries a scarf cut sealing ring, so the valve is a fix even with substantial bore wear. Two springs give the option of stock TCC pressure or slightly elevated pressure with slightly firmer apply.
For high power hot rods or overloaded trucks, lock-up can be converted to an ON/OFF system in 2 easy steps, for improved holding with a shorter apply time in severe duty applications.
Corrects, prevents or reduces: TCC slip, codes 39, 68, P0741 and P0894, and torque converter damage due to slip.
