Why it fails
TCC complaints start with a worn TCC boost valve and bushing. Once they wear, the computer can no longer control lock-up apply and release properly.
The other area is a worn solenoid modulator valve bore. Like an AFL valve or solenoid pressure regulator valve, the solenoid modulator valve limits the pressure going to the solenoids. Its valve and spring are calibrated so feed pressure never exceeds a set PSI, whatever main line pressure is, so the solenoids are not fed more fluid than they can regulate. If feed pressure is too high or too low, solenoid output follows, causing shift quality complaints, codes, and low or high main line pressure.
The kit's drop-in USA-made hardened steel TCC boost valve and bushing restore hydraulic circuit integrity. The redesigned drop-in solenoid modulator valve and bushing restore function in the existing worn bore with no tooling. The drop-in USA-made hardened steel B2 control valve rides in an unworn area of its bore to restore that circuit.

Notes
When the TCC boost valve and bushing wear out, the computer can no longer control the apply and release of the lock-up as it is supposed to.
Similarly, a new redesigned drop-in solenoid modulator valve system does not require any tooling.
