TransGo U151-BOOST pressure regulator and clutch apply boost valve kit for 2002 to 2013 Toyota and Lexus vehicles with the U150, U151 or U250 series automatic transmission. It replaces worn B1 and B2 switch boost valves and bushings and the main line pressure boost valve and bushing found in high mileage units.

Why it fails
The computer sets line pressure from the calculated load, and the ECM sends current to the SLT solenoid to raise or lower main line pressure for driving conditions. Adequate line pressure gives enough clamping force to prevent slipping and to shift properly.
A worn EPC boost valve and bushing causes slow or lazy pressure boost, soft shifts, flare shifts, burnt frictions and a burnt lock-up clutch, often with gear ratio, shift and solenoid performance codes. Main line pressure also acts on the B1 and B2 switch boost valves to time their apply. When these valves stick, B1 and B2 apply and release is impaired and the unit binds up between two gears.
The drop-in USA-made hardened steel boost valves and bushings are a durable direct replacement for the soft aluminum OEM parts that wear. Pairing this kit with # SK U151 helps prevent common problems in high mileage U150, U151 and U250 transmissions.
Corrects, prevents or reduces: insufficient line rise, soft, slipping or flaring shifts, codes P0741, P0746, P0766, P0771, P0776, P0796, P2714 and P2757, and bind-up between two gears.
