In Toyota/Lexus U140E, U140F, U240E and U241E units, the steel OE solenoid modulator valve is prone to side-loading in the bore. This side-loading action, combined with repeated oscillation of the valve, prematurely wears the cast aluminum bore causing shift and TCC concerns. Cause
Excessive solenoid pressure is caused by line pressure side-loading the steel solenoid modulator valve and the continuous oscillation of the valve, which wears the cast aluminum bore.
Correction
Sonnax solenoid modulator valve and high-grade aluminum sleeve allows the bore to be refurbished, and prevents side-loading of the valve and future wear.
