About Stage-1 frictions
Stage-1 frictions suit Turbo 350 performance builds that do not need the capacity of the Gen2 Blue Plate Special but need more than a stock tan or High Energy plate can handle. They also add holding capacity and withstand the higher temperatures of GM trucks towing heavy loads, and they suit street rods, tuner cars and mild street/strip builds.

Raybestos Stage-1 Performance TH350 frictions are an affordable solution for GM Turbo 350 transmission performance applications that may not require the capacity of the Gen2 Blue Plate Special, but do require a friction plate that can handle the demands that a stock tan or high energy plate cannot.
