Why it is needed
This is a sound transmission with a good lifespan, and normal wear in control parts causes most malfunctions. Fixing that wear while the car is in the shop avoids a comeback or a no-ship.
Corrects, prevents or reduces: delay/bang drive engagement; 4-3 and 3-2 coast clunk; 2-3 and 3-4 cutloose; kickdown runaway; converter slip; coast 3-2 part-throttle bang; and 2nd sprag failure.
