TransGo ZF8-TCREG-TK optional tool kit (reamer and guide) for installing the oversized converter pressure regulator valve included in the SK 8HP SHIFT KIT® Valve Body Repair Kit. It is for units whose converter pressure regulator bore shows wear. So far about half of those bores show no significant wear and keep the standard valve.
What it fixes
A worn converter pressure regulator bore causes low cooler flow, lack of lube, an overheated converter, delayed engagement and loss of power. This kit corrects, prevents or reduces those complaints.

Notes
At this time, half of the bores we’ve seen do not show signs of significant wear and therefore will not require installation of the oversize valve.
This tool kit is designed only for those units that do exhibit wear.
