What the update fixes
Cross leaks: early E4OD transmissions leaked between the valve body and the case. These gaskets are thicker, increased from .008" to .015".
Delayed engagement: some orifices are modified to fix the delayed engagement problem. The updated gaskets fit all model years from 1989 to 1995.

Better than factory
Factory gaskets have the old style and original design flaws. Thickness is much better than original. Good quality materials.
