Performance upgrade kit for the Ford C6 automatic transmission, made in the USA by Superior Transmission Parts. It combines 3 Superior parts that correct known C6 weak points: the KC-6 valve body shift kit, the K0111 SuperTuff forward clutch hub snap ring and the K016 Super Servo.
What each part does
KC-6 valve body shift kit: covers regular, heavy duty and diesel applications, with options for shift firmness. It addresses premature clutch and band failure, increases line and lube pressure, and corrects passing gear spin-up, soft 1-2 and 2-3 shifts and clutch chatter. A new heavy duty boost valve is included.
K0111 forward clutch hub spiral snap ring: this SuperTuff ring fits all C6, E4OD and 4R100 Ford transmissions. Its extra thick and wide construction reduces the chance of breaking. Forward clutch hub snap ring failure is a common problem in these units, so Superior recommends the upgrade on every rebuild.
K016 Super Servo: performs as the Ford "R" servo. Its apply-to-release ratio gives positive 1-2 and 2-3 shifts and a clean 3-2 kickdown. The 2nd apply area uses a lip seal instead of an O-ring for better static release into 3rd gear.
