Adapt-A-Case heavy-duty transfer case support and mount for 2003-up Dodge 48RE 4X4 diesel transmissions. It supports the transfer case so the 48RE 4WD overdrive housing does not carry its weight alone.

Why it fails

48RE 4WD overdrive housings often crack. The failure is typically due to the lack of support for the heavy transfer case, which weighs about 80 pounds.

A steel bracket installs in place of the lower two bolts (longer bolts supplied) and includes the common GM universal mount. The factory skid plate already has a hole for it. A machined steel spacer/washer fits below the skid plate, with a tapered groove to clear the OEM stamping.
