Sonnax band strut, part number 22900-15, for Chrysler A518, 46RE, 46RH, 47RE, 47RH, 48RE and A727 automatic transmissions. It is .150 in longer than OE to regain correct band adjustment after the low/reverse drum has been resurfaced and the band relined.

Why it's needed
After the low/reverse brake drum has been resurfaced and the brake band relined, the band may not hold during apply, causing a slip or no reverse.
Sonnax designed two extended struts for this problem: 22900-10 is .100 in longer and 22900-15 is .150 in longer. Using one of these struts removes the need for specially relined bands with a thicker lining.
