About Graphitic friction
Graphitic is a paper-based friction material with graphite to store more heat until the engagement is complete. It releases heat slowly and evenly for reduced warping, and uses a friction-resin matrix designed to increase strength.
Recommended use: limited-slip differentials, off-highway, bus and truck applications where greater durability is needed and shift quality is of less concern. Raybestos lists smoother engagement, improved clutch life, reduced debris contamination and increased energy loading capacity.
