ATSG tear down and assembly manual for the AS6 six-speed medium duty truck transmission, made by Aisin Seiki Co. Ltd in Japan. It covers the AS68RC (A45X), A460, A465 and M036A6 versions and shows variations in internal parts and operation where possible.

Where the AS6 is used

The AS6 is found in the Isuzu cab over engine, with the lighter duty A460 behind the 3.0 liter diesel and the heavier duty A465 behind the 5.2 liter diesel. Internal parts differ in dimension between these two versions. It is also used in Mitsubishi Fuso cab over engine models as the M036A6, and in Dodge Ram 2500, 3500 and cab and chassis models with the 6.7 liter diesel as the AS68RC or A45X. Internal parts also vary between the Isuzu/Dodge Ram and the Fuso models.
