Product Description

TransGo TFOD-JR SHIFT KIT valve body repair kit for 1988 to 2003 Dodge, Ram and Jeep vehicles with gas or diesel engines. It fits small case transmissions (A500, 40RH, 42RH, 40RE, 42RE, 44RE) and big case transmissions (A518, 46RH, 46RE, A618, 47RH, 47RE). It delivers short, smooth shifts and a better TCC apply, and installs with the transmission in the truck.

How it works

Common complaints on these units are TCC slip or shudder, soft shifts, overdrive planetary burn-up, power loss in reverse and torque converter drain-back.

A line-to-converter feed system helps the unit run cooler and extends TCC clutch life. A TransGo manual valve with a converter charge in park provision reduces delayed forward and reverse engagement after sitting overnight, caused by converter drain-back.

Corrects or reduces: TCC slip or shudder, converter drain-back, soft shifts, power loss in reverse, and overdrive planetary burn-up (gas engine only).
