Fits: 8L45 / 8L90
TransGo oversized pulse dampener pistons (accumulators) for GM 8L45 and 8L90 transmissions. The kit has seven hardened steel pistons with matching calibrated springs that keep OE function and repair higher-mileage units with extreme bore wear.

Why it fails
Even a little bore wear affects solenoid pressure to the clutch regulator valves, and poor clutch control shows up as flare, harsh and erratic shifts. A smooth solenoid signal to each clutch regulator gives more consistent, cleaner shifts and TCC operation.
Corrects, prevents or reduces delayed reverse, 2-3 upshift flare, TCC shudder that is still present after a flush and refill with Mobil 1 LV ATF HP fluid, erratic shifts and clunk on coast downshifts.

Notes
A worn dampener bore must be corrected to provide a smooth solenoid signal to the clutch regulator it serves.
