How it works
One source of shift complaints is wear at the actuator feed limit (AFL) valve bore. The AFL valve and spring limit solenoid feed pressure to a set PSI regardless of main line pressure, so the solenoids are not fed more fluid than they can regulate and maximum line pressure stays limited. When feed pressure is too high or too low, solenoid output follows, causing shift complaints, codes and low or high main line pressure.
Wear at the pressure regulator valve or bore lowers EPC boost signal oil, giving a lazy pressure boost response with symptoms similar to a worn AFL system. TCC slip comes from wear at the TCC regulator valve bore.
The kit's oversize AFL valve is fitted with TransGo's universal tool kit AFL-G2-TK, which reams the bore and also serves many TransGo 6 and 8-speed kits. A drop-in hardened steel TCC regulator valve has repositioned longer lands and a scarf-cut seal groove so it seals in the original worn bore, and a new PR valve with longer lands restores the pressure regulator system. A new pressure relief system replaces the OE isolator valve line-up to prevent hard part damage from accidental pressure spikes and over-boost.
It corrects erratic or hunting TCC, broken parts due to over-boost, and codes P0741, P0742, P0751, P0752, P0776, P0777, P0796, P0797, P2714, P2715, P2723 and P2724.

Notes
This kit does not fit GEN1 units.
The oversize AFL valve included in this kit requires TransGo's tool-kit part # AFL-G2-TK to ream the bore.
