Fits: 6L80 / 6L90 / 6L45 / 6L50
Superior TransLab Engineered valve body upgrade kit for GM 6L80, 6L90, 6L45 and 6L50 transmissions. It corrects, prevents, upgrades and retro-fits all 6L80/90 GEN1 and GEN2 valve bodies to GEN3 2014-up features without changing castings or separator plates.
What the kit does
It retro-fits Gen-1 and Gen-2 valve body castings to use the Gen-3 2014-up style, so updated OE-style separator plates and castings are not needed.
A patent-pending Flow-Limited compensator circuit restores the integrity of the compensator and exhaust backfill circuits and limits loss of pump volume through bleed-out. A patent-pending compensator valve and circuit design gives a No-Yump 1-2 shift.
An added #8 check ball and low-reverse clutch circuit exhaust control improve reverse and drive engagement, especially when the transmission is hot.
Pair it with the STL012 6L series pump upgrade kit. On 2014-up 6L80 units, add the STL010 Sure-Cool cooler flow system to protect against a malfunctioning cooler flow valve (CFV).
