Why it fails
These complaints often come from wear at the solenoid pressure regulator valve bore. That valve limits the pressure going to the solenoids. Its spring is calibrated so solenoid feed pressure never exceeds a set PSI, whatever main line pressure is, so the solenoids are not fed more fluid than they can regulate. If feed pressure is too high or too low, solenoid output follows, causing shift quality complaints, codes, and low or high main line pressure. Other issues are TCC regulator valve bore wear and pressure regulator (PR) valve and bore wear.
The kit's drop-in solenoid pressure regulator valve and bushing restore regulator function in the existing worn bore. A new design PR valve with longer lands restores regulation, and a new relief system replaces the OE isolator valve line-up to prevent hard part damage from accidental pressure spikes.
Corrects, prevents or reduces: erratic shifts, erratic or hunting TCC, broken parts due to over boost, and codes P0729, P0731, P0732, P0733, P0734, P0735, P0741, P0751, P0752, P0756, P0757, P0761, P0762, P0766, P0767, P0771, P0772, P07A5, P07A8, P07A9 and P07AA.
