Sonnax removal/installation tool 92003-TL is available for easy bushing removal and installation. Use of an arbor press is required for correct installation. Do not use a hydraulic press or a bushing driver/hammer combination to install, as doing so may distort the bushing and cause fitment issues.

The input clutch hub bushing in Chrysler 62TE transmissions is an oil control surface for the underdrive clutch. Excess clearance/wear between this bushing and the stator support causes low underdrive clutch pressure, resulting in clutch failure. Sonnax input clutch hub bushing 92030-05 restores the clearance necessary for reliable operation.

Cause
OE bushing material composition allows premature wear; excess clearance between input clutch hub bushing and stator support allows leakage in underdrive circuit.
