FITS EARLY-STYLE E17 VALVE WITH FOUR SPOOLS AND THE SPEED SENSOR MOUNTED ON THE VALVE BODY. USED IN AUDI AND VW APPLICATIONS. THE E18.2 HAS A VALVE WITH FIVE SPOOLS AND THE SPEED SENSOR IS MOUNTED TO THE TRANSMISSION AND THIS PART WILL NOT WORK. USED IN AUDI, VW AND BMW APPLICATIONS.
Tooling Required
ZF5HP19 Oversized Pressure Regulator Valve
Transmissions with a ZF5HP19 can experience erratic line pressure, poor shift quality, Reverse complaints and B clutch breakage due to excess wear in the main pressure regulator valve bore. After reconditioning the bore, installing Sonnax oversized pressure regulator valve 85755-01 will restore hydraulic integrity for proper line pressure control in all ranges.
- Oversized valves have annular oil grooves to support the valve and reduce wear rate

Cause
Excessive valve and bore clearance due to wear.
Correction
Sonnax oversized valve corrects valve-to-bore clearances and also prevents future wear in this area.
