TransGo drop-in oversized pressure regulator valve for 1993 to 2015 General Motors vehicles with 4L60E, 4L65E and 4L70E transmissions. The precision USA-made steel valve restores the hydraulic integrity of a worn pressure regulator bore without machining, and it is machined for full-time line-to-lube. It saves replacing the pump for a worn bore, and no special tools are needed.

Why it fails
Over time the line pressure regulator (PR) valve bore wears. Wear at the balance end of the valve makes pressure unstable, and severe wear can cause unregulated high line pressure. Wear at the spring end causes a leak and low line pressure. Symptoms range from harsh or soft shifts to burnt frictions, overheating and converter clutch failure.
The valve's longer spool lands ride in the unworn part of the bore and spread the load over a larger surface area for more durability. It corrects, prevents or reduces erratic or low line pressure, burnt 3-4 clutch, planet burn-up, overheating or burnt fluid, and TCC slip.
