Product Description

TransGo 48RE valve body conversion kit for 2003-08 48RE transmissions. It converts a 46RE or 47RE valve body core into a shift-kitted 48RE, an economical option when 48RE cores are scarce.

How it works

The converted valve body has the same functions as a stock 48RE, plus the increased line pressure for holding capacity of the SK 48RE kit. A new limit system helps prevent governor pressure sensor failures, and shifts are short and clean.

Corrects, prevents or reduces TCC slip or shudder, converter drain-back, 2nd band failure and 3rd clutch failure. It increases TCC and clutch element torque capacity and improves TCC engagement feel.

• PR valve shim, spring seat and inner spring for line-to-converter feed, plus outer spring for increased pressure
• USA-made hardened steel manual valve with converter charge in park provision and cherry bomb
• Drop-in USA-made hardened TV valve, boost plug and tapered spring
