In listed Chrysler transmissions, the inner race or hub of the one-way roller clutch may come into contact with and cause wear to the back of the transmission case. This rearward movement of the hub is primarily a result of excessive endplay. To protect the case from further wear and eliminate excessive endplay, install Sonnax case repair bearing 22556-BRG. This repair bearing requires that the case be machined using a milling machine with a rotary table. Late cases will require machining of the reverse drum.
