To salvage worn bores without reaming and enhance reliability, replace the OE valve with an improved-design Sonnax 4-spool switch valve 22771A-01.
Symptoms
- Lockup shudder
- Overheated converter
- Lost or damaged component
Cause
Debris and constant oscillation of the 4-spool switch valve can create scratches or wear on the critical spools, or the part can be damaged or lost during rebuild.
Correction
Restore hydraulic function of the 4-spool switch valve by installing a direct-replacement Sonnax drop-in valve.
