Severe wear of the TCC priority valve bore caused by oscillation of the OE valve allows regulated secondary line and TCC signal pressure to leak to exhaust in Ford 10R140 transmissions. This wear minimizes secondary line pressure control resulting in overheated fluid, loss of converter feed pressure, TCC release concerns, TCC slip code concerns and potential transmission control module (TCM) errors.
Reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized TCC priority valve kit 105740-76K eliminates the leakage of secondary line pressure by creating a new conditioned bore area for the upgraded valve to operate in. This restores normal TCC operation by re-establishing the hydraulic integrity of this circuit.
- Extended outboard spool is 250% longer than OE for improved sealing and stability

Cause

Restore hydraulic control and renew TCC performance by reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized TCC priority valve kit.
