Made in the USA by Adapt-A-Case
Easily removes old clutch and installs a new dry clutch assembly from a Ford Fiesta or Ford Focus. This tool does not allow a used clutch to be reinstalled.
Instructions
Step #1: Secure the transmission with the bell housing facing up.
Step #2: Remove the 2.5'' snap ring from the center of the clutch (set aside snap ring), then remove the splined hub.
Step #3: Insert tool #1 (hold down), then EVENLY strike it twice with a hammer to unload the snap ring. Remove tool #1 and look to see if the snap ring will rotate in its groove. If not strike it one more time. Once the snap ring rotates freely, remove and discard it.
Step #4: Install tool #2 (big hole down). Then set in tool #3 in place (gear shape down). Then install the 2.5'' snap ring. Twist the knob to remove clutch assembly.
Step #5: Remove actuator motors and inspect seals at this time.
Step #6: Attach tool #3 to the new clutch assembly using the 2.5'' snap ring. Set assembly on the input shaft, then remove tool #3.
Step #7: Place tool #1 (hole down) on center of the clutch assembly. STrike tool #1 lightly several times until the snap ring groove is fully exposed. Install the NEW 1.5'' snap ring.
Step #8: Install hub, making sure that paint marks align with each other.
Step #9: Reach through both actuator holes (with Allen tool provided) and rotate screw counterclockwise 14 times to set new clutch
Note: The dual clutch assembly weighs approximately 36 pounds. Weight could shift causing personal harm or damage to the unit. This clutch assembly fails from leaky front seals.
