Why it fails
The 4-5-6 accumulator piston plays a vital role in applying the 4-5-6 clutch. Wear in the piston bore causes a loss of 4-5-6 clutch apply pressure, which leads to clutch slippage, harsh or delayed shifts, shift flares, ratio codes and clutch failure.
The reengineered piston has two O-rings that prevent further piston-to-bore contact and wear. It renews the 4-5-6 accumulator circuit integrity and salvages a worn valve body.
Corrects, prevents or reduces: slips in 4th, 5th or 6th gears, burnt 4-5-6 clutches, and solenoid performance or ratio codes.
