5R110W Oversized Pressure Regulator Valve Kit | Sonnax

Ford 5R110W units may exhibit various line pressure and converter problems due to excess wear in the pressure regulator bore. Deterioration of the bore prevents the valve from providing higher line pressure as fluid is pulled into the suction port. The pressure regulator valve also controls fluid flow entering the converter and lube circuits, which can be reduced resulting in multiple TCC concerns and trouble codes. Installing Sonnax oversized pressure regulator valve kit 36940-03K restores the hydraulic integrity of these circuits for proper line pressure control.

NOTE: Three pump generations were produced, with varying casting hardness. The Sonnax reaming tool kit used must be matched to the hardness of the pump to extend reamer life and bore finish quality.
