Fully tested, and retested then tested again to stop the direct drum burn out in 5R110W transmissions due to leaks and failures from loose fittings parts! Kit contains all necessary parts to upgrade the 5R110W direct drum.
The patent pending Super-Sized Direct Drum Bushing with metering orifice, optimized lube channels and a new CT-101 Dry Film Lube coating that provides reduced frictional coefficient and increased lubricity for extended life and durability.
This new 5R110W Internal Upgrade Package contains the patent pending Direct Drum Bushing, new oversized bronze filled carbon graphite direct clutch sealing rings and solid Teflon Forward clutch rings. As a bonus you also get the Low/Reverse SuperTuff and forward clutch HD snap rings and the end play shim for the center support!
Superior's 5R110W Internal Upgrade Package also includes a new SOLID cup plug so you can clean out prior debris from the blind hole passage in the center support.

- NEW patent pending design features a Super-sized Direct Drum Bushing w/ state-of-the-art lube flow design making it unique and non-obvious.
- Metering orifice prevents unrestrained lube dump to balance piston and provides back pressure which, when combined w/ optimized axial lube channels, creates a lube pump to deliver ATF to stator sleeve so bushing can hydroplane on the sleeve.
- A new high tech CT-101 Dry Film Lubricant coating provides reduced frictional coefficient and increased lubricity for improved break-in, extended life and durability.
- The tight installed fit and close bushing to sleeve clearance virtually eliminates drum rock and prevents bushing spin-out.
- Over sized bronze filled carbon graphite lap-joint direct drum sealing rings 0.015'' wider and more flexible than OE PEEK rings, conforms to groove irregularities better as well.
- End play shim for reduced clearance provides axial support to reduce rocking that causes forward drum bushing elongation and front to rear movement that unseats direct drum sealing rings.
