45|545|65|66|68RFE Good Pump Core Remanufacture
If you have a rebuildable pump from the RFE series and want it rebuilt instead or paying the insane price for a whole pump (68RFE), you can send it to us to be tested and remanufactured. If your pump passes the initial inspection and vacuum testing, it will be broken down, ultrasonically cleaned, reamed (if applicable), polished/honed, cleaned again, reassembled, tested, and shipped back to you. We have made it easy to select the upgrades you want done to your pump with no need to buy the expensive reamers to oversize a valve line, or the specialty tools. We already have them all!
If your pump has a worn valve line it will be very apparent during the initial test when it comes in. The only REAL way to fix a scored or worn valve line is to oversize it. If you don't choose an upgrade on checkout and your pump needs it to pass final testing, we will send you a checkout link to complete that purchase before we fix the pump. If that is necessary we will reach out to go over initial test results to discuss what options there are to fix the pump. If you want us to determine what fixes your pump needs, select the appropriate option under each category and we will call/text/email you to discuss.
Some pumps may not be rebuildable. If the face where the gears ride is damaged or scored it cannot be rebuilt. Some pumps will need new gear. If you didn't select new gears it will be extra. If you didn't select any upgrade that your pump needs, it will cost extra. We will contact you via the selected preferred communication method in order to get your approval on anything that will cost extra. These pumps are notorious for many valve line issues and almost all of them need some kind of reaming in order to bring them back into spec.
Note:
2019 brought on some significant changes to the RFE transmission family, changing the valve body and the pumps. Make sure you select the appropriate year range for your application in the options that have year ranges listed.
Warranty
If you choose no upgrades and your pump is rebuildable as is, the pump has a 1 year (12,000 mile) warranty. Fully upgraded pumps (All valve lines oversized and a Sonnax TCC Accumulator Kit) come with a 5 year (75,000 mile) warranty. If you choose any other mix of oversized valves, each oversized valve adds 1 year (12,000 miles) to your warranty. Warranty does not cover torque converters being installed incorrectly and damaging your pump, or any other user/installer error that causes damage to your pump. Some tunes can cause extreme stress on your pump and cause them to fail prematurely. If your vehicle has a "Hot" tune done to it, you need to upgrade all valve lines to an oversized option or you will almost certainly have issues at some point. Solenoid blocks sold under the Mopar brand are notorious for having intermittent pressure issues that sometime cause EPC codes and shifting issues.
