For 40 and 41 series transmissions, this kit CANNOT be used in early units that have #33 separator plates. Kit can only be used in later designs that have a #4 retainer clip inthe TCC control valve bore. Kit is compatible with all 42LE, 42RLE and 62TE units.

Common problems associated with listed Chrysler units are high TCC slip, TCC lining degradation, TCC slip codes, converter apply or release concerns and reduced fuel economy. These issues are often caused by excess wear at the TCC control valve bore, which allows critical pressure to escape the circuit.
