Wear in the cooler/lube flow control bore and wear on the valve is a common issue occurring in Toyota/Lexus UA80E/F & UB80E/F FWD and AWD transmissions. This wear minimizes SLT (throttle pressure) control and control of the converter/lube flow circuits resulting in fluid overheating and lubrication failures.
Reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized cooler/lube flow control valve kit 168740-08K eliminates the exhaust of crucial pressure escaping the cooler/lube circuit and restores OE functionality and pressure specifications. The length of the major diameter outboard spool of the oversized Sonnax valve was increased by 164% to help prevent future side-loading wear. Annular grooves have been added on the critical diameters of the valve to help keep the valve centered in the bore. These unique features ensure your rebuilds will have proper cooler/lube pressure control throughout all drive ranges.
